From the Blog
- The Scandal of Particularly Choosing MeThere’s nothing more purifying yet challenging than when you are crying, kneeling before the Lord wondering why He would choose you for a mission that you feel so unworthy. This sounds a tad dramatic and sad, but I promise the story gets much better (with the Lord’s help of course)! While I knew that IContinue reading “The Scandal of Particularly Choosing Me”
- Sister-sister Sitings!Hi there! This blog post is going to be a compilation of all the times that the Lord has brought (and will continue to bring) Sister Chiara Madonna, also known as my sister-sister, and I together. So be sure to check back as the year progresses and more opportunities arise! September 19 – Walking inContinue reading “Sister-sister Sitings!”
- The Weight of Child-like FaithMe during first week of on boarding: “Have you guys heard of the song ‘Weight of Eternal Glory?’ Yeah . . . that’s how I am feeling right now.” I understand much more of what the Hillbilly Thomists meant by having the glory of God weighing on your shoulders after having been here for aContinue reading “The Weight of Child-like Faith”
Snapshots of Joys and Mishaps

The beginning of many sports days! Nothing like a big open field with a jaw-dropping skyline!
A snapshot of my classic speed-walking across the city for absolutely no reason besides wanted to go fast
Our parish, St. Anselm and St. Roch . . . like what!! So stunning
Some of the fellows gathering our first full day together after going to adoration and mass!
After a slight mishap of Becca falling off a wall at Central Park, no worries though, she’s resilient!
Tinton BBQ night!
My Brilla student service team! SO excited to be on this team with incredibly compassionate and driven people!
One of the first community dinners that will be happening as the year goes on!
Padre Pio hearing confessions out of Old St. Patrick’s! So simple and yet so beautiful.
Peyton and I having a little Sunday rest day together, such a ray of sunshine!
My first morning in New York, and I’m getting breakfast with one sister and two Dominicans — yep sounds about right!
The chapel in CFR missionary house. Talk about simplicity and peace!
Yankee’s game!! While I hardly paid attention to the actually game itself, the fellowship and laughter made the overpriced water and nosebleed seats worth it! Couldn’t have imagined a more dysfunctional yet joyful group of people to go with!
MARY OF GUADALUPE SPOTTED! In a time of stress, Mary was there watching over us, reassuring us that she was holding our hand.
Me asking my SST to take me as their fellow! SO EXCITED that they said yes hehe!
Eating cannoli in little Italy in Manhattan! Man, I missed the taste of cannoli!!
Sisters of Life concert outside of St. Andrews — Talk about grace filled night!
I am officially the baker of Tinton house (not that it’s surprising) and I have taken this role with the upmost seriousness.
Went to the Met and was absolutely captivated by this painting by Julie Breton because of the laborious, yet hopeful gaze of the woman on the left as she looks towards the rising dawn — I can relate!
Gals day with Ice cream!
Beach day with some of the fellows!
“Ms. Judd, wanna see the Captain America I made out of play dough!”
First day of school! You can tell the excitement on all our faces hehe
Community outing with donuts in Washington Square park!
Nothing like a hurricane to force Tinton house to get together and have a brunch! Gotta make those scones to remind me of home 🙂

About Me
Hi, I am Annie Judd, a Seton Teaching Fellow in the Bronx, NY, from Cohort 8. Originally from St. Louis, MO, I am just a gal trying to follow the Lord’s will in whatever way he guides me. I love asking people about their joys, reading, adventuring, and sitting in front of Our Lord in the Eucharist.
